I had a compilation album to do and it involved about six bands, and I didn't want to do the same old bandy type posed shots. So I took headshots of everyone, and for each band got an unusual facial feature from every member and used it as a composite. For the front cover I used a blend of everyone's face. (top left image) It's amazing how attractive the average of all the faces looks compared to the composites. Mother nature did a pretty good job before I starting messing it up.
Brendan O'Shea spent 20 years as a musician, spending most of his time in Canada, the USA and Japan working with some of the world's great musicians. When kids came along, it was suddenly time to grow up and get a "real" job. So it was off to Swinburne Uni followed by a career in design and photography. Music production still plays a major role in his professional and personal life. He also prefers to speak in the third person.
